Synthtron is Troy Polaris. Influenced primarily by synthesizer bands of the 80's, Synthtron began its musical journey in 1988.  Continuing to write music through the early 1990's Synthtron found it difficult to fit into the music scene due to the Seattle grunge movement having settled on the local music scene in Richmond, VA. Synths and music created with them at that time  seemed to have shifted more underground and Synthtron was not interested in that direction at the time and forged through the years creating original music (even landing gigs that have aired on Television.) Creating music for commercials promoting TV News, to selling Ford vehicles from Virginia to Texas.

 

Musical influences:  Blondie, Chic, Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, Enya, Eurythmics, The Fixx, Sade, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Ultravox.
